(Insider Media Limited) A service station business with sites across the North West and North Wales has been acquired by Motor Fuel, the second largest forecourt operator in the UK with more than 400 branches.

Macclesfield-based Manor Service Stations Ltd operates nine sites and employs more than 80 staff. It is a family business, led by Peter, Joe and Anthea Brough.

Manchester law firm Kuits advised on its sale to Motor Fuel.

Peter Allen, who led the sale alongside fellow corporate partner Kirsti Pinnell, said: "Manor Services is a longstanding client of Kuits and we are delighted to have worked closely with Peter and his family throughout the process of preparing the family business for sale."

Other advisers on the transaction were Pinsent Masons, which represented Motor Fuel. Thompson Wright provided accounting and tax advice and Barber Wadlow provided corporate finance advice.
