(Reuters) Nigeria's long-delayed Brass Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project said on Monday it had opened bids for engineering, procurement and construction contracts. Brass LNG, whose shareholders include energy firms Eni , ConocoPhillips and Total , said it had opened bids last Thursday for onshore and offshore works and for a sub-sea pipeline. President Goodluck Jonathan has pledged to unlock the potential of Nigeria’s gas reserves, which are the world’s eighth largest but remain largely untapped.
