Sep 11 - Pertamina Expects the Cilacap Refinery Expansion Programme to Cost $800 Million

(Jarkata Globe) Pertamina has set aside $800 million to help finance the expansion of its refinery in Cilacap, Central Java, a company official said on Monday.  Pertamina spokesman Mochammad Harun said construction on the refinery would begin next week. Harun said the expansion of Cilacap refinery — Indonesia’s largest — was expected to provide an additional 61,000 barrels of oil per day. The refinery produces 350,000 bpd now.  

 Pertamina also has plans to boost the capacity of its oil refineries in Tuban, Plaju and Balongan . Harun said that if the government approves the expansion of the Balongan refinery, the total capacity of  Pertamina’s refineries would reach 1.7 million bpd. Pertamina has two other oil refineries: Dumai and Balikpapan.
