Sonnedix Japan K.K. (Sonnedix Japan) has made two acquisitions on behalf of the Sonnedix group of companies (Sonnedix); a 2.4MW solar PV plant in Kyoto, and a 2.5MW solar PV plant in Saitama prefecture, in the Kanto region. Both plants began commercial operation earlier in 2019.

One of the leading players in the Japanese solar market, Sonnedix currently has a further six solar PV plants in construction, with a combined capacity of 236MW, managed by Sonnedix Japan, most of which are expected to start operations within the next 12 months.

With a total controlled capacity in Japan exceeding 500MW, Sonnedix has continued to expand throughout 2019. Sonnedix Japan also acquired two development projects on behalf of Sonnedix earlier in the year: a 13.7MW solar PV project in Hirono, Iwate prefecture, and a 26.5MW solar PV project in Yamadamachi, Iwate prefecture.
