On May 10, 2023, gas production began at the South Aksai gas condensate field. NC JSC "KazMunayGas" has actively entered into the project development phase based on the results of the council on gas and energy industry development held in October 2022 under the chairmanship of the Head of State.

Thanks to the project, JV "Kazgermunay" LLP will supply up to 100 million cubic meters of gas annually to meet the needs of residents of the Kyzylorda region. Thus, the volume of gas delivered from the enterprise will increase from 200 to 300 million cubic meters per year.

According to the medium-term plan, product delivery from the Central Oriktau field should begin in 2024-2025. This will provide an additional 1 billion cubic meters of gas per year. In addition, by 2027-2030, it is expected that 2.1 billion cubic meters of commercial gas will be produced from the Kalamkas and West Prorva fields. All this will allow KMG to supply the domestic market with an additional 6 billion cubic meters of gas by 2030.
