Following an international tender together with the main Korean contractors, Snamprogetti, the Eni engineering and main contracting company has been awarded a contract by the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for the construction of a new booster station in the north of Kuwait.

The contract includes engineering services, procurement and construction and is worth over 130 million dollars. The plant, with a capacity of 2.5 billion cubic meter of gas per year, will be completed in 30 months and linked by pipeline to gathering oil centres in the north of the country.

KOC awarded Snamprogetti two other contracts over the last few months. The first one is the project for the construction of the Water Transfer System & Minagish Water Injection Plant in western Kuwait and the second contract includes the construction of a network for lift gas distribution in the Sabriah and Roudhatain oil fields in the north of the country.
